Let's Create Memories Together.
Kasia and Michael are simple, sweet and straight forward people. They knew they wanted to get married in an intimate setting with just their family and friends present before their baby arrived, and next year plan on having a larger wedding where Michael’s family is from in Windham, NY. So where in NJ can you find a beautiful public park that has a deep, rich history, AND has an amazing farm-to-table restaurant with a beautiful view of the park, right on the property?… just ask your NJ based wedding photographer! Having just moved to Maplewood, Kasia and Michael were unfamiliar with the area, so I hooked them up a little with this local gem that is nearby me. It’s one of my favorite parks in the area of Gladstone, NJ- which became the setting for their intimate Natirar wedding, secluded in the field under a lone tree – a perfect place for a small wedding ceremony.
We started getting to know each other with a few intimate portraits around the park – although that extreme heat for the day sure did make things a lot nicer under the shade of the trees! We tried to venture outside of the shade for some more dramatic portraits under the sun, but that idea quickly was thrown out the window for the comfort of shade, and I’d be remised if I didn’t mention the absolutely wonderful little AC break in our cars too.. I have to say they really were incredibly patient, and such great models given the heavy weather we’ve been having this summer!
When their families arrived, we made the walk together out to a lone tree in the field – the perfect setting for an intimate wedding in the park, secluded from everyone and so picturesque from afar. I love how it was just them, and completely casually winging it, which made it feel so real and quaint for me. There were mixed emotions of laughter and tears, and after sealing their official kiss, we all walked up the hill and over to 90 Acres, where they would then continue their celebration with a private dinner, and a surprise baby gender reveal for their friends and family!
I had such a great time documenting these two and their families, and I seriously can not wait for what their destination wedding in the Catskills of Windham, NY has to offer next year (plus a new little baby to play with and pinch!)
